Stephanie Plum is from the Chambersburg area of Trenton, New Jersey, to locals it's known as the "Burg."  The series starts out with "One for the Money" and continues in succeeding numerical titles. Our heroine Stephanie getting laid off from her lingerie buyers job at a Trenton department store and starts looking for a job with not much luck in finding one. In fear she will have to move back in with her parents she takes a job working for her cousin Vinnie, who owns a bail bondsman business in Trenton.  Stephanie with her big hair, passion for donuts, spandex pants (a must if you eat a lot of donuts), starts a new career as a bond enforcement officer. That's a bounty hunter to you and me.

Stephanie is a little commitment shy, although she is very committed to her hamster  Rex., it's a bit different in the man department.  She juggles two men;  Joe Morelli, the towns once notorious troublemaker who is now a by the book cop and  Ranger, a mysterious Cuban-American bounty hunter who has a soft spot for Stephanie. You'll meet all of Stephanie's family,  which is sometimes good and sometimes bad, but always a funny. Family dinners at the Plums are hard to explain but damn skippy to say the least!  

A Stephanie Plum novel is always a quick fun read that will literally have you laughing out loud and craving cheez doodles!

Stephanie's father, a retired postal worker, who deals with all the mayhem by hiding behind his newspaper or in his taxi.

Stephanie's mother. Pineapple upside down cake baker and stay at home mom who is constantly trying to get Stephanie to change job.

Grandma Bella
Morelli's grandmother who gives the evil eye.
