...the love she had for those she cared about. Her
courage to face down everything life threw at her. Everthing above
^^ CarolE
...she treasured her family. :)
Jodi
...her sincerity.
Pipersmom
...her sense of homour - it rocked! And she was always
"straight down the line". Leigh
...her laugh and the total joy she took from her kids and
grandkids. And of course, the passing of the big wet
ones. Tam
...her love of life, and her ability to cram in so much.
Rock on you Roller Skating Diva. Margy
...her sense of
humor, her taste in men, her strength and her
laugh. ....and her maiden name. Colly
...her big, black, beautiful self (and I can hear her laughing
now :) My first thought was the way I felt around her - I
see Astrina and I are on the same page with that. It was
more than her humor, more than her honesty, more than the way she
made you feel like you'd been friends all you lives, it was the
whole freakin' package. She was a rare human being, too bad
there aren't more like her. I love that I feel blessed to
have crossed paths with her in this lifetime. Marilyn
...her smiling eyes when she observed the people she
loved. Janie
...that I will never meet another person like her, she really
was one of a kind. M&M
...her laugh.
Lady Lukkarinen
...she was what I call a "Toots;" a funny
friend. beccabee
...her sense of humor...her love for her family and wee
Lily. Her strength. Her! CarolE
...Karen doesn't pull any punches. You can always get an
honest opinion from her... even if she doesn't agree with
you. Her huge smile and laugh are contagious. (Until
we meet again, my friend!) CathyS
...she's just too darned cute!
Reilly
...her welcoming smile.
Jayne
...she knew how to have fun!!!
Cherie
...she was full of surprises! I'm thinking of when she signed
up for roller derby, that came out of the blue. :) MaryC in KY
...her ability to never meet a stranger.
Tam
...what I love about Karen are her dirty jokes, her fantastic
sense of humor, her sarcasm, her appreciation of the male form,
her love of all things Scottish even though we agreed to disagree
about Scotch and the fact that for the twelve years she saved me a
seat in the beer tent. :) Fiona
...the way her face lit up when she saw you, arms flung wide
for a boob-squishing hug. Her wickedly sarcastic sense of
humor. Her complete and utter lack of (or tolerance of *g*)
bullshit. Her absolute joy in and fierce love for her
family. I miss you muchly, my firied. Maria
...her amazing ability to comfort someone even when she herself
was suffering. Sorcha
...her love for life, men and laughter.
Chirre
...the first time I met her she made me feel like we had known each other for years.
PeggyB
...Karen had the most generous heart-would help out anyone who needed it. Loved her smile, her sense of humour, her love for life!! Miss you lots, Karen!!!
Lady Keira
...Other than the fact that she's my Mommy (yes, I'm not ashamed to call her Mommy at 32 :) )), I could easily talk about anything with her...my secrets, my worries, my dreams, my fears etc, without fear of being judged or made to think that I was crazy. She also made it clear to me that she was okay with the fact that I was a "little off center", I sometimes think she even liked it! I loved that that not only was she my Mum, she was also my best friend. Best Mum Ever!

Thanks to everyone who sent pictures in, there's no way I can
list everyone in the photos without it taking months or throwing
my puter across the room, and I apologize in advance... I can't
take any more photos. Since I used a free software
program, there is a small ad on each album, but you can just
click it closed. Enjoy!
I
had made this after I got an email from Karen and she was
sounding pretty down, and I wanted to do something to cheer her
up, unfortunately she didn't get to see it.
